Our proven transformation process

Our proven transformation process

The process

To accelerate your network evolution, we use a field-proven process that has been road-tested for technology transformation. We make strategic use of intelligent software tools to streamline migration, minimise risk, and make your journey a success.

Each migration follows a five-phase approach, detailed as follows:

Our process begins with a clear understanding of your strategic intents, your business needs and your current network assets. This single source of truth is the most authoritative foundation you can have for strategic decision-making to ensure the best possible ROI. The network transformation strategy, the planning, the execution and the closure of the transformation project will be handled by experienced resources, proven processes and tools to manage risks, schedule and performance.

PHASE 1

Strategy

We start by crafting a strategy to ensure you meet your business goals and objectives, minimise disruption, and maximise ROI. Our team works closely with you to evaluate the right technologies and architectures for your migration scenario. We will recommend the most appropriate method and build a robust business case with achievable metrics to share with your business leaders.

PHASE 2

Evaluation

Our services team then creates a detailed digital baseline of your network to inform your evaluations, plans, and decisions. Our innovative analytics technology extracts and maps network data from all sources, and it cleanses and normalises the data to create this vital information resource. With this knowledge, we’re able to assess use cases, avoid project roadblocks, and create an optimal migration plan.

PHASE 3

Planning

Next, we detail the activities and processes required to optimise your migration. Our project managers and engineers work closely with your technical and operations teams and other stakeholders to develop this vital plan, which helps minimise customer impacts. Process reengineering and contingency planning are explored for every potential activity and added to the plan where appropriate.

PHASE 4

Execution

At this critical stage, our services team draws on its expertise and experience, proven process, data analysis, and automation procedures to help you migrate to a more scalable and efficient architecture. This phase includes pre- and post-migration testing to ensure progress with little risk of disruption or downtime to legacy services.

PHASE 5

Closure

Finally, to close out the project, we conduct an audit, perform OSS and BSS updates, and decommission and remove your legacy equipment. All this work is based on project management best practices—such as the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)—and lessons learned from previous engagements. We ensure everyone on our team is trained and remains involved, if requested, to help monitor and guide the continuing improvement of your network.
